DESPERATE PAWS OF ORANGE COUNTY DOG CLUB'S next outing is going to be a Valentine's PAWTY for all PARENTS and their PAWS. PAW BAGS will be included, please be sure to RSVP so we know how many to bring. Let's have a wonderful day in the sun with our PAWS.
BYOB Bring your own BALL....hehehehehe The PAWS tend to go through them fast...
Costa Mesa, Irvine, Laguna Beach bark parks all have separate areas for small dogs and large dogs to run without leashes. They also have free bags to clean up after your dogs. They are great places to socialize free
Updates to this Outing... We will be stationed inside the Bark Park, there will be a banner up saying, "Desperate Paws of Orange County Dog Club", and the PAW Barrel will make it first appearance of the year. There will also be a fund raising raffle for Gift Certificates to "Sharky's Woodfired Mexican Grill" and others.... We hope all that PARENTS and PAWS that attend have a wonderful time.
It was a beautiful day. It was great to meet the PARENTS and it was fun playing with all the PAWS. The raffles went well even if Joy did win three of them...hehehe guess she has a plane ticket for Vegas waiting now, and there will be full report available for all the money raised at this Outing from the raffles posted on the Club's Page under files in the next day or two along with some photos of the Outing. In addition it appears that there were many people from the Bark Park who also donated and purchased raffle tickets so it was possible attended by about 35 people total. Hopefully, they will join the Club and make other Outings.
Also if you didn't attend and you missed the Newsletter hand out, it will also be available on the Club's Site under the Files Page. Brandi and I hope that all our PARENTS and their PAWS who attended had a great time. I know Gracie was wore out at the end of the Day today, but it was fun and we look forward to doing it again.
This was a great meetup! Stephen, Brandi & Graci were so nice! They even had goodie bags for the Dogs. Another great thing they did was have raffles for some great things like Movie Tickets in which all the money goes to a good cause! This is everything that a dog meetup group should be!
Molly had a really good time. She loved to play ball, it was really fun to see that many dogs in one place at a time. Sadly I didn't win any raffles maybe next time, but it looked like a good amount of money was raised today. I think Molly has a new best friend we will see. Molly really loved the doggie bags too. Thanks again Stephen & Brandi for the rope and the treats...Molly ate hers on the way home. She crashed.

THE DESPERATE PAWS OF ORANGE COUNTY DOG CLUB'S "PAW IT FORWARD" CAMPAIGN benefits Local Needy and Adoptable Dogs by funding Special Adoption Events in our community. This Club is so much more than just a place to have a great time with our PAWS but also through the Club's joint efforts with Local Businesses, Agencies, Dog Welfare Groups and County Officials we have been able to positively affect the lives of many more deserving PAWS who are not as fortunate to have wonderful PARENTS like our PAWS do.
DESPERATE PAWS OF ORANGE COUNTY DOG CLUB, its Efforts, Activities and Programs have been recognized by the following. Here is what they had to say:
"O.C. Animal Care has benefited greatly from our relationship with Desperate Paws of O.C. Dog Club and we are looking forward to the B.A.R.K 4 Kids program. As Orange County’s largest animal shelter, we see firsthand the lack of education in our community through the number of animals that come to our shelter lacking identification, proper care, and proper behavioral training. Through programs like this, and the wonderful volunteers in our community like Desperate Paws of O.C. Dog Club, we hope to further our cause of educating our younger community in responsible pet ownership and a higher respect for the animals we work so hard to protect." - Ryan Drabek, Director of O.C. Animal Care
THE NEEDY PAWS APPRECIATE ANY AND ALL DONATIONS!
We ask that you please read the D.P.O.C. DOG CLUB'S FAQs to answer any potential questions that you may have about the club. Thank You!
***In keeping with our Mission Statement, and Singleness of Purpose, there are times when Brandi and I feel that some people will join the Club to promote other activities or business ventures not in-line with the Club's Purpose. Therefore we feel it is essential to keep the Club's Mission Clear which is to promote Quality Time for bonding between PARENTS and their PAWS in fun social activities, while giving back to our Local Needy PAW Community. If you are joining for any other reason, please be advised you are joining the wrong Club....
