* * * SPACE IS LIMITED. WE WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE 50 RSVPs FOR THIS EVENT * * * CALLING ALL PARENTS AND PAWS THIS IS THE OFFICIAL RE-OPENING OF THE NEWLY RENOVATED WAGSDALE PARK.

DESPERATE PAWS OF ORANGE COUNTY DOG CLUB will be just one of the many PAW Organizations included with a Booth at this Event. Lots of play and socialization time for the PAWS in either the Big PAW Park or the Little PAW Park. For the PARENTS, there will be Pet Vendors, Pet Services, Dog Rescues, Boutiques and more. There will be PAW Contests, Games, and Demos too. It is being hosted by LARCS and we are very happy to be included. Treats for all including Archie’s Ice Cream Truck, they will have ice cream for the PARENTS and Frosty Ice Cream for the PAWS available too. A caricaturist will be available to draw a picture of you and your PAW.

The Club's "PAW IT FORWARD" CAMPAIGN will have wonderful raffle prizes too. There will be a Tasty Gift Card to the BEACH HOUSE, which has wonderful food and drinks, plus a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. Next will be two VIP Gift Certificates to PAPA MURPHY'S PIZZA, which I have to tell you their Pizza Rocks! Lastly, and certainly not least will be a Pass for Two to the WORLD FAMOUS IMPROV COMEDY CLUB good at all Southern California locations, because honestly, well it's the Improv and who doesn't love to laugh! As always 100% of all funds collected will go directly to helping Needy and Adoptable Dogs find New Forever Homes.

If you have not been to this Bark Park, it has a small and large PAW area, lots of Grass, and is really a nice place to spend the afternoon.

Also, this is the First Outing that the Club will be collecting for it's "PRESENTS FOR PAWS" DRIVE. This drive will last until December, at which time all donated New or Lightly Used PAW Toys, Food, and Treats, will be taken to local Shelters for the PAWS to have and to play with for Christmas. We know the Dogs in the Shelters will love it! It is bad enough being in a scary environment without a wonderful PARENT or Foster PARENT so we wish to try and help make it the best we can for them. Additionally, we will be having an Outing in December when these Donated Items will be distributed so if you are interested in Adopting, being a Foster PARENT, or just wanting to put a smile on a Shelters Dog Face then please come out for that Outing.

Please remember this is an on leash Pet Expo, so while the PAWS are invited they must remain on a leash until they get inside the Bark Park. Fresh Water will be available at the Dog Club Booth in the Citter Cooler courtesy of CRITTER CONCEPTS, and we hope everyone has a great time.

It was a wonderful day, and the "PRESENTS AND PAWS" DRIVE had a great start. The PAWS had a great time in the Hot Dog Dunk, and the Cat Treat was great. We wish to thank everyone who attended, and participated in the "PAW IT FORWARD" RAFFLES. Thanks to our wonderful Sponsors who donated to make the raffles and the campaign possible. We had been very excited about coming to this event to meet other dog owners, get information and give our dog time to play in the dog park. We aren't residents of Ladera Ranch, so they wouldn't let us into the dog park. We'd like to suggest that this group get confirmation in writing that a venue will allow members to utilize the dog park, and not return to Wagsdale Dog Park in Ladera Ranch in the future.

DESPERATE PAWS OF ORANGE COUNTY DOG CLUB is a NOT-FOR-PROFIT CLUB designed to get PARENTS and their PAWS out of the house and enjoying life. The club was specifically created to place PARENTS and their PAWS together in fun social activities, while Advocating for Dog Welfare and Adoption.

Through the club we hold fun social activities, outings and events such as trips to Dog Beaches, Bark Parks, Hiking Trails, Restaurant and Happy Hour Pawties, Camping Trips, Paw Classes, Paw Expos, Pawventure Vacations, Adoption Events and More so that the PARENTS and their PAWS can play and socialize together at fun PAW-friendly venues.
