Hi Larysa - it's so great to hear from you!! Yes, I am very happy to be able to hike again I've had to start out slow but I'm building up. I'm scheduled to do a "Harish" hike on the 9th of April - check to see if you can do it ... would love to see you again (no matter what hike that would be). Glad we are having such great weather again :-)

Hi Larysa. I don't know off hand of any small dog owners who are into hiking but I'm sure there are some in the Club. We have dogs of all sizes. My Shi-Tzu is partially blind so I only take her out when we go to Waves and Wags at the beach. But at your next meetup just ask the owners of the little ones. I bet there are some hikers in the group. Thanks for the email.

Hi Larysa and Sheila! I have a Shi-Tzu too! They are precious. I would like to personally extend a welcome to all of you to the DPOC Dog Club. Just a little about us: We have a Paw It Forward Campaign in which all of the monies raised at our events will go to two local shelters/rescues at year-end. DESPERATE PAWS OF ORANGE COUNTY DOG CLUB is a NOT-FOR-PROFIT CLUB designed to get PARENTS and their PAWS out of the house and enjoying life. The club was specifically created to place PARENTS and their PAWS together in fun social activities, while Advocating for Dog Welfare and Adoption.

ALL FRIENDLY PARENTS AND THEIR PAWS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN!

Through the club we hold fun social activities, outings and events such as trips to Dog Beaches, Bark Parks, Hiking Trails, Restaurant and Happy Hour Pawties, Camping Trips, Paw Classes, Paw Expos, Pawventure Vacations, Adoption Events and More so that the PARENTS and their PAWS can play and socialize together at fun PAW-friendly venues.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING ALL PARENTS AND THEIR PAWS AT THE UPCOMING OUTINGS!

THE DESPERATE PAWS OF ORANGE COUNTY DOG CLUB'S "PAW IT FORWARD" CAMPAIGN benefits Local Needy and Adoptable Dogs by funding Special Adoption Events in our community. This Club is so much more than just a place to have a great time with our PAWS but also through the Club's joint efforts with Local Businesses, Agencies, Dog Welfare Groups and County Officials we have been able to positively affect the lives of many more deserving PAWS who are not as fortunate to have wonderful PARENTS like our PAWS do.
