HI PARENTS,
Brandi and I spoke to Stan on Monday Night at The Lazy Dog Cafe - Manic
Mondy
and we felt this Fundraising Event was definitely worthy of sending to all
the
Members. You can find all the information below and if you have any
questions
or comments please direct them to Stan Martin. He is a PAW PARENT very
active
in local Dog Groups and is just a great guy.
Brandi and I are donating to the Fundraising Silent Auction. In Fact,
Stan,
you will have to tell us how you want to pick up the auction item or we
can
meet sometime before hand at an Outing for the Dog Club. We hope it
helps.
Stan Martin sent you this message from Desperate Paws of Orange
County Dog Club on Meetup:
"Stephen & Brandi
I never thought of asking you for help until last night. I
appreciate your offer of assistance. We are going to have a 50-
50 and hopefully the winner will donate their winnings to Tina.
I really like the Idea of Desperate Paws getting donations for
a raffle or a silent auction. Sorry but no pets at this
function Irvine Co Rules. If you need additional details please
contact Tina Wilson or Myself. Tina has a profile on meetup and
is a member of several groups.
I also would like to solicit donations made out to FLORIDA C/O
Tina Wilson and mail to me Stan Martin

This is a Fundraiser in memory of Florida, Our Member, Tina
Wilson's Personal Assistant.
Florida was a Golden Retriever who passed away suddenly. Tina
is Blind and Florida was her service dog.
It costs approximately $50,000. to select, train and house a
replacement for Florida. Fortunately Tina's new assistant is
paid for by donations. She had to provide food, vet care,
harnesses and other essential expenses. Tina will have to live
away from home for about 28 days while she gets acquainted with
her new assistant. If you are interested in additional
information please e-mail Stan and he will provide you with the
link.
Admission is only $5 at the door to cover the Rental, Ice,
Water, essentials and cleanup.
You will need to bring either something to grill or a side dish
to share and your favorite beverage. Appropriate SIDE DISHES no
chips or peanuts please.
If you show up with out a side dish you will owe another $5,
since there are always people who show up without food we will
have extra.
Bring your bathing suit, cool sunscreen, and towel as there is
an Olympic size pool , a heated spa and chase lounges. Extra
chairs are welcome.
We will have a live band for Dancing until 8PM. Rock & Roll
with your favorites. We hope to have the same band that played
at Skip's Memorial day Bash.
There will also be a 50-50 opportunity drawing. We will also
have a silent auction.
Donations will be accepted and all net proceeds will go
directly to Tina Wilson for care of her new assistant. Cash and
checks made out to Tina Wilson for Florida will be accepted
We hope that you will enjoy the POOL, BBQ and DANCING
Looking forward to sharing the day with you and your friends!
If you plan on attending we do ask you to please be considerate
of others and attend. No shows and last minute changes are not
appreciated. Do not be the cause of someone being excluded from
this event.
This event will be cross-posted with other groups starting July
1st 2010
If you are an Organizer with another Group and wish to post
this event please do not post until July 1,2010"

DESPERATE PAWS OF ORANGE COUNTY DOG CLUB is a NOT-FOR-PROFIT CLUB designed to get PARENTS and their PAWS out of the house and enjoying life. The club was specifically created to place PARENTS and their PAWS together in fun social activities, while Advocating for Dog Welfare and Adoption.
ALL FRIENDLY PARENTS AND THEIR PAWS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN!
MEMBERSHIP IS FREE!!
Through the club we hold fun social activities, outings and events such as trips to Dog Beaches, Bark Parks, Hiking Trails, Restaurant and Happy Hour Pawties, Camping Trips, Paw Classes, Paw Expos, Pawventure Vacations, Adoption Events and More so that the PARENTS and their PAWS can play and socialize together at fun PAW-friendly venues.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING ALL PARENTS AND THEIR PAWS AT THE UPCOMING OUTINGS!
THE DESPERATE PAWS OF ORANGE COUNTY DOG CLUB'S "PAW IT FORWARD" CAMPAIGN benefits Local Needy and Adoptable Dogs by funding Special Adoption Events in our community. This Club is so much more than just a place to have a great time with our PAWS but also through the Club's joint efforts with Local Businesses, Agencies, Dog Welfare Groups and County Officials we have been able to positively affect the lives of many more deserving PAWS who are not as fortunate to have wonderful PARENTS like our PAWS do.
DESPERATE PAWS OF ORANGE COUNTY DOG CLUB, its Efforts, Activities and Programs have been recognized by the following. Here is what they had to say:
"O.C. Animal Care has benefited greatly from our relationship with Desperate Paws of O.C. Dog Club and we are looking forward to the B.A.R.K 4 Kids program. As Orange County’s largest animal shelter, we see firsthand the lack of education in our community through the number of animals that come to our shelter lacking identification, proper care, and proper behavioral training. Through programs like this, and the wonderful volunteers in our community like Desperate Paws of O.C. Dog Club, we hope to further our cause of educating our younger community in responsible pet ownership and a higher respect for the animals we work so hard to protect." - Ryan Drabek, Director of O.C. Animal Care
THE NEEDY PAWS APPRECIATE ANY AND ALL DONATIONS!
We ask that you please read the D.P.O.C. DOG CLUB'S FAQs to answer any potential questions that you may have about the club. Thank You!
***In keeping with our Mission Statement, and Singleness of Purpose, there are times when Brandi and I feel that some people will join the Club to promote other activities or business ventures not in-line with the Club's Purpose. Therefore we feel it is essential to keep the Club's Mission Clear which is to promote Quality Time for bonding between PARENTS and their PAWS in fun social activities, while giving back to our Local Needy PAW Community. If you are joining for any other reason, please be advised you are joining the wrong Club....
