September is "Responsible Dog Ownership" month, and so at this Outing we will be promoting Responsible Dog Awareness and providing Information! You're PAWS will love you for it.
10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. We will be meeting at the Laguna Beach Bark Park and there will be Terrific and Free Items provided by The American Kennel Club, such as Training information and Canine Good Citizen Evaluations. There will be coloring books and pencils for the kids, plus lots of stickers too. There will also be a really fun Pledge to Sign to help Promote Awareness and to get People thinking about it!
The Bark Park in Laguna Beach has both a large and small PAW area, for all our Buddies to play in safely. If you have not been to this park it is "PAWRRIFIC". All the PAWS love to play here on the nice green grass. There is tons of room for all the PAWS to run and really enjoy themselves and to let the PAWS burn off that energy with their buddies before we all go to brunch.
This is a video from our Dog Service featuring the "Bark Park" for PARENTS who have not been there.
The Laguna Beach Dog Park is located on Laguna Canyon Road near the El Toro Road intersection.
Before you go, please check out their rules on their website. We want to make sure that everyone has a good time playing in the sun. Parking is both FREE and Metered, so please be sure and Bring some change with you in case you can not find free parking.
YOU NEED NOT ATTEND THE BRUNCH IF YOU DO NOT WANT TOO. PLEASE DO COME TO THE BARK PARK THOUGH IT WILL BE LOTS OF FUN FOR BOTH YOU AND YOUR PAWS! IF YOU ARE NOT COMING TO THE BRUNCH PLEASE DO NOT RSVP YES FOR THE OUTING, AS SPACE AT THE CAFE IS LIMITED, AND ONLY THOSE ATTENDING THE BRUNCH NEED TO RSVP.
At 1:00 p.m. Then PAWS and PARENTS meet at the beautiful Madison Square and Garden Cafe in Laguna Beach for brunch on their outside dog-friendly pawtio. You can order anything from flapjacks to fresh halibut along with soft drinks, beer and wine.

THE DESPERATE PAWS OF ORANGE COUNTY DOG CLUB'S "PAW IT FORWARD" CAMPAIGN benefits Local Needy and Adoptable Dogs by funding Special Adoption Events in our community. This Club is so much more than just a place to have a great time with our PAWS but also through the Club's joint efforts with Local Businesses, Agencies, Dog Welfare Groups and County Officials we have been able to positively affect the lives of many more deserving PAWS who are not as fortunate to have wonderful PARENTS like our PAWS do.
DESPERATE PAWS OF ORANGE COUNTY DOG CLUB, its Efforts, Activities and Programs have been recognized by the following. Here is what they had to say:
"O.C. Animal Care has benefited greatly from our relationship with Desperate Paws of O.C. Dog Club and we are looking forward to the B.A.R.K 4 Kids program. As Orange County’s largest animal shelter, we see firsthand the lack of education in our community through the number of animals that come to our shelter lacking identification, proper care, and proper behavioral training. Through programs like this, and the wonderful volunteers in our community like Desperate Paws of O.C. Dog Club, we hope to further our cause of educating our younger community in responsible pet ownership and a higher respect for the animals we work so hard to protect." - Ryan Drabek, Director of O.C. Animal Care
THE NEEDY PAWS APPRECIATE ANY AND ALL DONATIONS!
We ask that you please read the D.P.O.C. DOG CLUB'S FAQs to answer any potential questions that you may have about the club. Thank You!
***In keeping with our Mission Statement, and Singleness of Purpose, there are times when Brandi and I feel that some people will join the Club to promote other activities or business ventures not in-line with the Club's Purpose. Therefore we feel it is essential to keep the Club's Mission Clear which is to promote Quality Time for bonding between PARENTS and their PAWS in fun social activities, while giving back to our Local Needy PAW Community. If you are joining for any other reason, please be advised you are joining the wrong Club....
