Brandi and I are out all the time to place and we see PARENTS who are asking about their lost PAW! We urge all PARENTS when they are out either working with Rescue Groups, in Dog Parks, Dog Beaches, or just driving around to keep an eye out on these lost PAWS!
If you have lost a PAW please Post the photos of the lost PAW on your Members Profile so the Club's PARENTS can view them and keep an eye or two out for them. Also, post place last seen, physical attributes, name of PAW, and how the best way to reach you will be. If you are re-united with your PAW, please let us know, please remove this post. Mostly, don't give up hope, PAWS are amazing and have been known to find their way home from 100's of Miles away. We know how difficult it is to lose a PAW. When I was a kid, I had an Old English Sheep Dog named Snowball, and my parents left her with my Aunt while we went on a family vacation. We never saw her again. She pushed my Aunt's garage door open and ran trying to find us. It had a huge impact on me as a child, and I believe it is why today I work with PAWS and never ever suggest that PAWS leave your home when you go on vacation. A Qualified Pet Sitter staying in your home, where your PAW is in familiar surroundings, is always a much better option. PAWS experience a great deal of stress, anxiety and fear when their PARENTS leave on Trips. Remember they are Pack Animals just like Humans, and you as their PARENT are a member of their Pack. It is stressful. If you can help anyone who has lost their PAW it would be terrific! |
